We are very happy to announce that The Great Connecticut Caper is now in print! And there’s a party!
The Great Connecticut Caper is a suspense story for kids aged 9-12. It was originally published by Connecticut Humanities online as a serialized story, with a new chapter appearing every two weeks from January to June 2015. The chapters were written by twelve different Connecticut authors and illustrated by twelve different Connecticut artists. Authors could only read the chapters before theirs and then add on to the tale—no one knew where the story would go next. That was part of the fun!
The entire story, games, and curriculum materials are available online at ctcaper.cthumanities.org. An audiobook version of the story is in production and soon will be available on the Caper website—stay tuned!
The story is also available now as a hardcover book, which includes the discussion questions that were developed to go with each of the chapters and we welcome you to the launch party!
Please join Connecticut Humanities at the Russell Library in Middletown as we celebrate the arrival of the hardcover edition of The Great Connecticut Caper! Meet some of the talented authors and illustrators, browse or purchase the book, pick up some Caper goodies, and enjoy light refreshments. Tickets are free, but registration is requested. R.S.V.P. by Thursday, February 25.
